on this fine morning i'd like

On this fine morning, I'd like nothing more than to eat my leftover J.Co donuts and Indomie. Such a fine way to start living, wouldn't you agree (by eating junk)?

I must say, I'm in a much better spirit lately. Of course I've had moments when I'm down, especially regarding my social life and work (well, basically everything, really), but last night... was... something. It's like I had a revelation, that everything I have believed in up until this moment, is actually true. Every motto I have tried leading my life by, such as: "Nothing is impossible, impossible is nothing", "Never say never", "Only the gentle are ever really strong", "Hope is the dream of a soul awake"... Well, you know what? I can proudly say that I really am living up to those, they're not just mere words in my head.

What else? Oh yeah, about the music reviews I talked about in my last post. Turns out I really enjoyed both I Blame Coco and Matt & Kim. Happy music! That's what I need in my repertoire. What I love is that their music toys in the fine line between easy listening pop and dance music. Not the trashy type, obviously. I've never been into those Ke$ha (wtf at that dollar sign), Lady Gaga, Britney Spears (oh how I miss you, 90s Britney) kind of music. Can't even listen to what they're singing about, thanks to all the autotune.

But oh, the beauty of the lyrics in Ellie Goulding's, I Blame Coco's and Matt & Kim's songs! I am a complete sucker for lyrics and words in general. To this day, I still listen to "Guns and Horses" LIKE A BOSS, and never get tired of it. As for Matt & Kim, there's this song called "Wires" and the melody, I am so much in love with it. It feels like we're in a parade, with all the xylophone and drums going on in there. It almost feels like a march, but a happy one. Then again there's "Quicker", by I Blame Coco. The lyrics are speaking to me: "If only we could be quicker, and be quick to be kind. If we could only be faster, then we can outsmart time." HEARTS ALL OVER, OKAY.

Anyway, it's funny, I remember there's a lot of things I'd like to write about today: Jaycee Dugard, Casey Anthony, the concept of hope, Nisfu Sya'ban, even what happened last night... but Insh' Allah there's always tomorrow. This blog is here to stay, it's not going anywhere.
